Lets start with jock type things. UFC and the Seahawks are my sporting life. This time last week I was in Las Vegas for my 3rd UFC show in a year (actually, 6th as I type that, but the first 2 weekends were with multiple nights of fights, so 3rd TRIP to go to shows). Have gone with friends, more often than not go alone. Would be a real joy to go with someone. Honestly, even just to Vegas. Fighting doesnt need to be your thing, Id be almost as happy just to have you on the plane with me and you going to Jersey Boys or something that night.
I train MMA about 4 nights a week. A lot of my friends/trainers are fighters. I have no to do it myself, but its fun to train and get in shape (and after I messed my knee up last year hitting the bag Im sorta restarting that process right now). Part of me is super jealous of the couples I see doing things like jiujitsu. Prefer to stick to striking cause Id rather only be sweating on someone as I mount them if they enjoy that type of thing. ;)
Do you even need to bring up the Seahawks in Seattle? If for some reason I do, I just did.
I also have a huge geeky streak in me. The resurgence of Star Wars has made me 8 years old again. Like many fans I became lapsed due the 3 beatings I took from the prequels. The lead up to the new one helped me rediscover my love for the originals. Saw the new one 5 times in the theaters, and each time I had a smile like an idiot on my face from housewives seeking nsa Ash Fork start to finish (outside of the murder of a very beloved character). Id be lying if I said Ive not walked in to a Target for toothpaste and walked out with a Solo figure for my desk at work.
Im also a big fan of comic books and that whole genre of entertainment. Mostly Marvel. But Im also a big Batman fan. Still re having a really bad flu, waking up to see a text that Affleck was going to be Batman and replying to my friend, "I dont hate it." If hes good my instant reaction was right, if he isnt, I was sick and couldnt be trusted to think straight. I think hes gonna do good, though my hopes for the film itself are rather low.
Like most people I loved Deadpool and like the little universe Fox has with him and the X-Men on screen. But my favorite stuff is what does with the Avengers universe. That new Captain America trailer coming out earlier this week made me giddy. Especially now that they can use Spider-Man and killed off those awful Andrew Garfield movies the other studio made.
The idea of a girl who would be on the same page with all this stuff would be ideal. But hey, right now Id be happy with someone who when the new Marvel film comes out will be happy to come out for the opening night and be in to it. Or someone who just likes the idea of going to a sports bar for UFC fights or Seahawks games with me and my friends and isnt going to sit there with a sour face and later claim they were being a good sport. Incase you can tell, that might have been an experience Ive had in the past.
